Riot is a fictional Symbiote character appearing in the film Venom (2018), part of the Venom (Sony) universe. He is one of five Symbiotes launched from the Life Foundation spaceship.
Riot is portrayed as a particularly violent and ruthless member of his species. Unlike Venom, who forms a bond of sorts with Eddie Brock, Riot is purely interested in destruction and domination.
In the film, Riot seeks a suitable host body to survive on Earth. He moves through various hosts before bonding with Carlton Drake, the head of the Life Foundation, becoming the primary antagonist. He attempts to bring more Symbiotes to Earth to conquer the planet, leading to a confrontation with Venom.
